
GAL. Montse Piñeiro (Pontevedra, 1990) investiga a relación entre luz e corpos en movemento en proxectos de artes vivas. Formada como escenógrafa e iluminadora na ESAD de Galicia e na ESMAE do Porto, traballa en teatro, danza e audiovisual de xeito profesional dende o ano 2012.
Animadora autodidacta, estuda cerámica na EMAO de Vigo e no 2019 presenta a peza Brotar co músico Rubén Abad, combinando cerámica e animación stop-motion. No 2020 recibe unha bolsa da Archie Bray Foundation (Montana) para crear ilusións ópticas que pon en escena co grupo Trilitrate, traballo que levará despois por varios países de Europa. No 2024 presenta Glifo, un proxecto que combina luz, animación e música.
Gañou dous premios María Casares a mellor escenografía e iluminación por Resaca (Ilmaquinario) e O Deus do Pop (Diego Anido), así como mellor espectáculo infantil e mellor espectáculo de títeres coa cía. Pérez & Fernández. Nos últimos anos traballou para compañías galegas e catalanas como Sarabela, Nononon.lab, Centro Dramático Galego, Teatre Nacional de Catalunya, Cris Blanco ou Ça Marche.

ENG. Montse Piñeiro (Pontevedra, 1990) investigates the relationship between light and moving images in live arts projects. Trained as a set designer and lighting designer at the ESAD in Galicia and at the ESMAE do Porto, she has been working in theatre, dance and audiovisuals since 2012.
A self-taught animator, she studied ceramics at the EMAO in Vigo and in 2019 presented the piece Brotar together with the musician Rubén Abad, combining ceramics and stop-motion animation. In 2020 she received a grant from the Archie Bray Foundation (Montana) to create optical illusions that she will stage with the group Trilitrate, a work that will then tour several countries in Europe. In 2024 she presents Glifo, a graphic score project that combines light, animation and music.
He won two María Casares awards for best set design and lighting for Resaca (Ilmaquinario) and O Deus do Pop (Diego Anido), as well as best children’s show and best puppet show with the company Pérez & Fernández.
